When a Man Loves a Woman by Tumika Cain

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--

The story of domestic abuse. As entrapping as the threads of a spider's web. The people just walking on the edge never realizing, all it takes is a small slip and you're caught.  When a Man Loves a Woman, is a life shared from many points of views. Through each main character I was able to experience the story through their own pain and interpretation.  .

Oh my God, in this book, the level of domestic abuse began to seem never ending and wrapped around everyone. In the arms of a black widow in the form of a devious, beautiful, broken man named Avery.
Tumika Cain did an awesome job pulling this reader into the story, wrapping me in as easy as Alicia was wrapped into romanticism and abuse with Avery. When a Man Loves a Woman, shows you the layers of danger involved when not paying attention to the signs and the monsters which can develop when everyone decides to keep their mouth shut.

Apart From Love by Uvi Poznansky

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:

Ben loves his dad, but has no respect for him. Disrespects his stepmother, but lusts over body. Harbors a deep love for his mother, yet doesn't accept the diminishing of her mental capabilities. Lenny is torn between the love for his new, younger wife- who in my opinion is a replacement for the love of his life who's disease has erased him from her memory. Anita, the new wife is like a candle in the wind, blowing in whichever direction the wind moves her. A little confusing, eccentric and in need of love. The family is in such a state of dysfunction it is the only way they can function. Apart From Love, exposes raw emotion and unearths things we dislike seeing in ourselves - the utter need and equal disdain for members of our own families. Apart From Love tells the story from the three main character's own perception of what is really going on so it's up to you to decide who is at fault or not at fault for the ripples. It's a good story and I recommend it.

When Clouds Touch by Ey Wade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
You will simply love Paisley and Malachi. These two were destined to love each other and their sweet innocent way of coming together despite Paisley's health and overprotective parents just makes you love them more. Malachi is a real sweetheart and has an awesome sense of humor. He knows how to humor Paisley and her parents and lightens the moment with his big heart and cheerful outlook. However, be sure to keep tissues for the ending. I can't tell you much emotion you'll feel at the end. The love that even through the despair and grief, hope shines through, and I feel touched by this story and will never look at clouds touching the same again.-

Sticky Moon by Lily Java

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--
Suspense,  romance, and stalkers, the perfect ingredients for a thrilling read.

It begins with a death, the death of an old
lady so unnecessary, it draws you into the story and right into the world of a psychopath, the woman he desires, and the people determined to protect her.
I can't even imagine how terrifying it would be to have a stalker, let alone one who has followed you for damn near a decade and his every thought and action carved the path to your future.
Lily Java succeeds in getting the reader to travel through the mind of Cosmos.
His name just like his imagination was beyond the realm of reality and he thrived in his illusion.

Lily has sprinkled history, movie tidbits, and so many terrific scenes into Sticky Moon concerning each character, I recommend it as a very interesting and entertaining read.

Hope to See You Soon by Revital Shiri Horowitz # book review #amreading

Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:-- A correspondence worth digging into, Hope to See You Soon by Revital Shiri Horowitz.
Friendships born in childhood, withstands the painful growth of wings, spans the oceans, dies a never ending death, yet never turns to dust.
Hope to See You Soon is an intricate exposure into the life and binding relationship between best friends, Tamari and Michal.
I loved seeing their lives through the form of letters. Following their conversations felt a little like a trip into an attic filled with trunks. The stories they could hold. I gladly tossed aside one joy and heartbreak as fast as I could turn the pages, excited about the uncovered secrets and years of living.
Hope to See You Soon fills all expectations and reminds us of that one friend who has the ability, with a single word, to breathe life back into a relationship long thought buried.

The Summer of Wrath by Cassandra Baker-Durham

Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--
http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Wrath-Seven-Deadly-Sins-ebook/dp/B00DQC8VZU/
I read The Summer of Wrath a couple of months ago and the story stayed so solidly on my mind, I had to digest it before writing a review.
There are many things that can change your faith and belief in God and nothing does it better than a death of a family member-that is, unless you have to deal with a member's abduction and disappearance.
Human traffic has always been a hard concept to phantom and Cassandra Baker-Durham does an outstanding job in showing how simple, and scary the process can be, all it takes is someone with an evil spirit,a lust for money, and  a victim. In The Summer of Wrath, Wilson is a no holds barred character in search of his sister, I don't blame him. I did wonder what was the repercussions of his wrath, but the answer isn't necessary to the story.
The Summer of Wrath is an interesting, entertaining, and an eye opening novel. It will make you questions the strength of your own beliefs and have you wondering about the mindset of almost everyone around you. If you want a book that will remain in your mind, I recommend The Summer of Wrath.

Secrets Beyond Scymaria by D J Jameson Smith

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--
http://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Beyond-Scymaria-jameson-smith-ebook/dp/B00F2FRNG2/ I loved the story and I actually dislike fantasy kinda books-the ridiculous difficult names of the characters and places always keep me from being connected to the story because of having to stop to get the names in my head. I like how DJ Smith let me creep into the story right along with the characters, was happy not to have to do a stumble over pronunciations, and totally enjoyed Secrets Beyond Scymaria. I could feel the humor, anxiety, and everything the characters were going through.
My inner (wannabe) botanist was so excited about the concept of the book, the save the planet, conversations without oration and a small town with a protected secret.

I think people will be surprised at who the "friend" is. A short story, but a good read.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie by Pico Triano

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:-- A tale worth chasing.
Let Sleeping Dogs Lie is a wonderful story. Full of espionage, stupid bad guys, gullible females and of course the good guy with enough flaws and scars you could be forgiven for wondering where his intentions lay. There are surprises, enough familiarity where you're not afraid to go down the path, yet when you get so far, the twists will either pull you further in quickly or make you pause in excitement. I love the casual, straight to the point way the author writes. I had to stop reading for a while because I didn't want the book to end. The characters are believable, storyline exciting and the book well written. Facebook Amazon (C) Ey Wade 2013 all rights reserved and all rights granted to the author of reviewed book.

Up the "Down Ladder" by Dolores Ayotte

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--
It actually took me a little while to read book. Not because it was boring or anything, but because of the recent death of my sister. I just didn't want to be depressed. Once I started reading I was glad I did. I'd read Dolores' other novel 'A Woman's Voice' and this one is written with the same kind of conversational tone and makes it easy for you, as the reader to be captured within the pages. I like the way she her own experience with depression to try and help her readers cope. I recommend this book and suggest you try her others. Check out her Amazon page. Revenge of the Orgasm by GPA

Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--
This is a book which assuredly gets your attention. While some of the poems were a little graphic, I have to admit the author has a lot of talent. For those who love to read this sort of thing, I really recommend this book. (C) Ey Wade 2013 all rights reserved and all rights granted to the author of reviewed book.

Toxic by Really Rashida

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--
Talk about a lesson in abuse, being abused, and ending the abuse.
After finally being free from her abusive ex-boyfriend, Tracey decides to trust him, that one more time and ends up back in the clutches of a pitiful man.

I applaud her for trying to help a younger female, but  I couldn't understand how she could return to such a dangerous man.

The twists and the devious actions of the other women in the story, who continuously throw  wrenches into the mix will keep you reading just to find out what happens to them all.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Rashida  and her character at IN THE CHAIR and invite you to get to know them better.

Visit author Really Rashida on her Amazon author page where she has links to some pretty interesting interviews.

Child Support by Angel Bearfield

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--

Some people get what they deserve and some people deserve what they get. Though these two stories toot the same theme, greed and dishonesty, they are different in their stories.

The first case 'Taken From Me, shows how devious some women are when it comes to setting up and cashing in on a 'lifetime' meal ticket. Some of the tricks Nina pulled were shocking and made me want to hurt her.

My Invisible Father, is stark in its reality of it's depiction of what can happen when the father decides he wants nothing to do with his offspring. I have to say I was really ticked when it seemed Raymond would get away with all of his wrong doings.

In the end, I love the way the tables turn for all involved in both stories.
I must warn you there are some graphic sexually explicit scenes, but that is the nature of the book. Regardless of the fact  I skipped over those parts, none of the storyline was lost.
