Her Silent Tears by Kara Tollman

#
Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--

Her silent tears is the sad horrific tale of a woman abused from childhood into her adult life. Far from being an original story it is distinguishable by the fact it is based on a true story. Through seemingly inconsequential daily life incidents we are invited into the life of the victim through flashbacks. Throughout the story I began to wonder if the child subconsciously misbehave and hurt herself in a desperate attempt to release herself from the life she was living. It made me swear to myself to pay more attention to the child who always seems to be crying for nothing. You never know what they are going through at home. This is a good, but very hard story to read without wanting to hurt someone.

On Rathbone Road by M.T. Mathieson

Take Your Meds- It's A New Book Review:--

This is the second book by M.T. Mathieson I have read. I must say I was really hesitant to get into it because the first one TXT, frightened me so much. This is a well written, short but very engaging read. Stacy so busy hiding from her preconceived prejudices, almost makes the biggest mistake of her life.

M.T. has a serious control on the fear factor. There are no imagined monsters chasing the characters, just the monsters in the shadows that are so real it keeps you looking over your shoulder.

Mathieson is an author deserving attention to her writings.
